School History
Mandava High School is an institution built by Shabani Mashaba Mines (Pvt Ltd) and handed over to the Zvishavane Town Council as a complete project. The mine’s aim was to give its workers’ children access to secondary education, especially vocational education in areas such as Wood Technology Design (WTD), Textile Technology Design (TTD), Metal Work, and Food and Nutrition.
The school acquired A-Level status in 2003. After 47 years of operation, the school was transformed into a single-session school on the 9th of May 2025, officially commissioned by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Mr. Moses Mhike.
